The City of North Las Vegas adopted an ordinance on May 6, 2020 that revamped their property registration program to, among other things, require a $50 fee to accompany all de-registration requests. A portion of their correspondence is included below:

“In conjunction with ordinances adopted during the May 6, 2020 City Council Meeting, the City of North Las Vegas Code Enforcement Division announces changes to the North Las Vegas Foreclosure Property Registration and Maintenance Program….”

“Key changes include a change to registration and other related fees ($500 for initial registration, annual renewal, and modifications to existing registrations; $50 for de-registration requests[italics ours]); the creation of an online property registration portal; the application of additional fees, fines and penalties for non-compliance; and the ability to pay fees online….

“The changes go into effect… immediately. All property registrations submitted after June 2, 2020, must be processed through the online property registration portal. All initial registrations, annual registration renewals, and modifications to existing registrations require payment of a $500 registration fee in addition to any fees, fines, or penalties assessed for non-compliance. De-registration requests must also be submitted through the portal and will not be granted or approved until payment of a $50 de-registration fee is processed.”
