The financial industry is one of the most heavily regulated industries in the United States. An ever-changing regulatory landscape makes it difficult, at best, for those employed in this field to navigate these changes and their impact on the financial industry as a whole. To help bridge the gap, companies like the Five Star Academy and the Mortgage Bankers Association have produced programs and certifications to educate our workforce on various aspects of regulatory compliance, distressed asset disposition, diversity and inclusion, and loan servicing, to name just a few.

Both organizations utilize industry experts to present educational material on specific topics. The Five Star Academy offers several modules, four of which comprise their Master Certification, a curriculum that takes approximately 40 hours to complete. We are proud to state that, as of July 2020, 100% of all Bron full-time associates are Five Star Master Certified. Additionally, Bron is the industry’s first Five Star Master Certified Organization.

The Mortgage Bankers Association offers several levels of certifications that dive much deeper into each aspect of the financial industry. Obtaining a Level I Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP), for instance, takes upwards of 80 hours of course review, study, and test-taking. As of July 2020, all three Bron associates in the Client Experience department have obtained both their CMCP Level 1 and Residential Certified Mortgage Servicer (RCMS) Level 1 certifications.

What does this mean to you? This shows that we at Bron are committed to educating our employees, not just on a narrow fragment of our industry, but on a broader subset of the financial universe to better meet your needs now and, especially, in the future. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but whatever happens, we will be ready.
